Under the Dancing Stars started to honour the memory of Julian McMahon, who died at 3 months old on December 1, 2005. Julian lived the majority of his life at The Hospital for Sick Children and received extraordinary, compassionate, all encompassing care. Julian’s mom, Chloe, and I have been friends for almost 20 years and doing nothing to give meaning to Julian’s death wasn’t an option and as a result, SickKids Foundation was an immediate priority to raise funds for.

Music is a universal way to bring people together and it was decided that Under the Dancing Stars would always have a musical theme. Music can capture so many emotions, individual songs are associated with periods of time and seeing performers in concert can be seared into your memory indefinitely.

Our goal is to deliver a memorable musical event at the same time as raising funds for SickKids Foundation to ensure that children not only in the Greater Toronto Area, but around the world, achieve their maximum health potential.
